We all know that confidence is a fundamental trait that can open the door to a world of opportunities. Each of us has a wellspring of power within. When we are comfortable in our own skin, we exude a positive air that attracts and inspires others.

Because my wardrobe space is limited to what can fit inside a luggage, there simply isn’t much leeway for shopping mistakes. The unwanted impulse buys instantly revealed themselves each time I packed up my belongings to move on to my next destination.

Compassion is a trait that is often overlooked or undervalued, but its far-reaching effects in the world can never be overstated. Compassion is about the deep recognition that we are all in on life together — each of us experiencing our own hardships and internal struggles.

If there’s anything I’ve learned from living out of a luggage for the past 3.5 years, it’s that I don’t actually need that much clothes. Owning less means that everything gets worn regularly, I can invest in nicer pieces, and I end up loving each and every one.

We are all capable of living with Poise and Purpose. It doesn’t matter how you grew up. It doesn’t matter how you behaved in the past. It doesn’t matter how much money you have today. It doesn’t matter what the members of your family live like.

As fun as the world of fashion may be, it can also leave us feeling overwhelmed. Trend cycles have sped up, clothes have gotten cheaper, fashion influencers are posting new outfits daily, and online shopping encourages the idea of instant gratification.

With any new beginning— whether a hobby, job, relationship, or latest purchase— there is a honeymoon period. Life becomes very exciting, we feel more ambitious than ever, and all is good in the world.
